The Unlisted Company Research Centre is an operating division of Small Cap Research Limited, the company that operates the successful smallcaps.co.nz website and information service.
This division was created as an unlisted version of smallcaps.co.nz with the focus being on those companies that trade on the unlisted trading facility (HERE). The vision was simply to explore the potential for increasing information availability and quality as well as showing the key financials and statistics such as those used on the other website.
This is an important service as information can often be hard to come by for these companies given the lower regulations and the costs of disseminating it... but also for the investor information is crucial in forming knowledgeable opinions about the companies.
For now the services remain totally free to the user, with basic reports a click away. Currently the services are supported by google ads, however sponsorship and advertising may be looked at in the future.
